Meet Our Team
Founder Lilias Ahmeira
Lilias has run clinics for people with neurological disorders for over ten years and spoken at international conferences on Autism, she is also the mother of three boys, one being autistic.
Her refusal to conform to the labels put on 'special' children and the lessons she has learnt from her own life experience, means she brings a fresh approach to many parents who are at the end of their tether.
She tells it like it is, and understands that many children are capable of a lot more than they are given credit for whilst undertanding the utter desperation felt by many parents. Her passion is to create the right space to allow change to occur. Children learn new boundaries and experiences whilst having fun and parents are "held".
Lilias has many years of equine experience and is very excited to be combining her skills in this unique venture.
Adam Nye is Lilias' life partner who works hard on the property maintenance side whenever he has the time and loves to help with the special children as well.
Lilias says: " Adam is my soul mate, the softest, and most generous tough guy I know, who can fix anything. When he's not running an oil rig he works tirelessly behind the scenes to pull off minor miracles here at Scrapton".

Cindy goes above and beyond to help out wherever she can, often getting covered in paint! She is the first point of contact for bookings, helps out when the families arrive, and loves working at Special Horses so much she never looks at the clock except to check when a familiy is due. Her husband Mick and sons Sam and Lewi all come and help whenever they can. Her comment: "We've seen what goes on between the horses and the children, the whole place is built on love,it's a family." |

LidercA hungarian nonius who was bought from Giffords circus. I think this horse is more human than horse. Just loves human company, is so gentle. Reasonably new to the yard, he is gently being introduced to our ways and has already proven himself to be a very valuable asset.
